About Us
Wet Building Solutions evaluates wet buildings of all kinds and design solutions specifically for each building. We diagnose leak sources, recommend repairs and help you prioritize the repairs. We design building envelopes, flashing details, ventilation, rain screens and recommend innovative materials to prevent leaks for historic and contemporary buildings, as well as new construction.
How Wet Buildings Solutions started...
Wet Building Solutions founder, Bob Kelly, has 35+ years of building evaluation and repair design experience in Chicago and on Chicago's North Shore. He is considered by many contractors and home inspectors to be the leading moisture intrusion repair specialist in Chicago and he invented WickRight Parapet Vents and Low-Slope (Flat) Perimeter Roof Vent, as well as 365 Construction Tents.
Bob is a General Contractor, Master Carpenter, Building Science geek and Historic Preservationist. The first 20-years of his career, he repaired historic homes on Chicago's North Shore. Since 2012, his focus has been leak diagnosis and inventing practical solutions to repair and prevent moisture / water intrusion and damage.
Bob started Wet Building Solutions to provide existing building owners, sellers and buyers accurate leak diagnosis and repair recommendations and to assist architects, builders and developers re-design building envelopes and fabricate custom solutions.
